      Precautions and Food for Immunity power increased         

Hi guys, how are you all. After long time i'm back to here. Because today i'm going to tell you some tips for your immunity level increasing.

COVID -19 has undoubtedly put the whole world in a disturbing situation, where everyone is scared of self-isolation and is quarantined. This infectious disease is specially dangerous for the elderly as they are more prone to getting affecting by it. And the reason behind is that they do not have a very strong immunity. And they are more likely to have other serious concerns like diabetes, blood pressure, lung disease, or even heart disease that can lower the body’s immunity. WHO has also listed in their Q&A about this pandemic, “While we are still learning about how COVID-19 affects people, older persons and persons with pre-existing medical conditions (such as high blood pressure, heart disease, lung disease, cancer or diabetes) appear to develop serious illness more often than others.”

We already know some tips, Once again i'm going to remember you. And also i'm going to tell how to increase your immunity level with foods.

Here are the Precautions: 

  • Stay at home 
  • Social distancing
  • Wash your hands for 20 seconds with soap before and after preparing or eating food
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve when you cough or sneeze and remember to wash your hands after
  • Wash fruits and vegetables before eating them
  • Disinfect surfaces and objects before and after use
  • Keep raw and cooked foods separate to avoid harmful microbes from raw foods spreading to ready-to-eat foods
  • Use different utensils/chopping boards for raw and cooked foods to prevent cross-contamination
  • Make sure to cook and reheat foods to adequate temperatures (≥72°C for 2 mins)

Eat These Foods To Avoid COVID -19 and Increase Immunity

  1. Take plenty of Vitamin C: 
                                               Vitamin C not only works to strengthen your bones, but also increases your immunity and is also full of anti-accident. Vitamin C is considered beneficial for improving the immune system. For vitamin C, you need to eat things like amla, capsicum, orange, guava and papaya.

     2.  Basil is also beneficial:

                                     Consuming Tulsi can help improve the immune system. Consuming one teaspoon of basil juice daily in the morning can improve your immunity. Also, taking 3-4 black peppers and one spoon of honey with it can help your body in fighting diseases.

     3. Include garlic in food:

                                    Garlic is considered a source of antioxidants. This can help prevent bacterial or virus infections in your body. Garlic is full of antibacterial properties. Consuming garlic daily can also help increase immunity.

     4. Eat ginger:

                          Many anti-viral elements are found in ginger. Consuming it with fennel or honey can give better results. Consuming ginger daily can strengthen your immune system.

    5. Take foods rich in Vitamin D:

                               Consuming vitamin D can strengthen your immunity. Vitamin D is considered to be the main sunshine, but you can get it by consuming many other things. Salmon for vitamin D can include fish and milk in the diet.

    4. Vitamin-E rich foods :

                           Some researches have proven that vitamin E is vital for maintaining the overall health of elderly people, including their immunity. Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that can protect you from various infections, bacteria's and viruses. Include soaked almonds, peanut butter, sunflower seeds, and even hazelnuts to get the daily dose of vitamin E.

Oats Poha

Hi friends today's special Oats Poha you really love this recipe.

Cooking time: 15 mimutes

Servings: 3 persons

Ingredients

  • 1 cup       Oats
  • 1 cup       Poha (Aval)
  • 1 large     Onion - Finely chopped
  • 1 large     Tomato - Finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup     Mixed vegetable (Peas, Carrots)
  • 8- 10         Peanuts
  • 2               Green Chillies - Finely Chopped
  • 3 tsp         Mustard Seeds
  • 2 pinches Hing (Asafoetida) power
  • 10- 15      Curry Leaves
  • 1/2 tsp      Turmeric Powder
  • To taste    Salt
  • 1              Lemon
  • 1 cup       Water

Method Of Preparation

  • In a pan, boil mix-vegetables (peas & carrots) with enough water and little salt.
  • Soak the Poha (Aval) in cup water for 5 - 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • Dry roast peanuts on a pan. Remove and set aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, hing (asafoetida), green chillies, peanuts and curry leaves and cook for 1 minutes
  • Add onion and cook until transparent
  • Add chopped tomato & cook for 2- 3 minutes
  • Strain the boiled vegetables and add along with oats. Saute briefly
  • Add 1/4 cup water and cook until all the water is absorbed
  • Add poha, salt, turmeric, and lemon juice
  • Mix well
  • Garnish with coriander and serve hot

POTATO DOSA - INSTANT BREAKFAST

Potato Dosa is an instant breakfast recipe & one of the most easiest variety of dosa ever. The batter requires no fermentation & tastes delicious when made.

Ingredients


  • 1/2 cup maida/ whole wheat flour
  • 2 tbsp chickpea flour
  • 2 tbsp rice flour 
  • 2 tbsp flax seed powder
  • 2-3 green chillies 
  • 1 cup chopped spinach
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 2 boiled potatoes
  • Salt as require
  • Cooking oil as required

Preparations

  1. In a mixing bowl. Add rice flour, chickpea flour, flax seed powder and salt. Add water to give it a batter consistency. Add minced green chillies, spinach and cilantro. Mix it well. Then grated potatoes. Mix it well. 
  2. Heat a pan and pour a ladle full of batter on it and spread it like a pancake drizzle oil around it and cook evenly on both sides. This dosa takes little bit longer to cook. So keep that in mind.
  3. Serve hot with any chutney.

Notes

You can add powdered oats the batter as well.

Sprinkle some grated cheese on top when serving it to kids.

Summer Pasta With Basil and Tomatoes

Pasta with Basil, Tomatoes, and Feta

Ingredients


  • 2 tomatoes diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint leaves
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 cup pasta
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Asiago cheese

Preparation


  • In a medium bowl, toss together tomatoes, garlic, basil, mint, salt, and black pepper, hot pepper flakes, olive oil. Let stand at room temperature for up to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. 
  • Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until tender, but firm to the bite.
  • Drain the pasta, and transfer to a large serving bowl. Drain 1/4 cup of the liquid from the tomato mixture, and toss with the pasta to coat. Add cheese, and toss until it begins to melt. Add the tomato mixture, and toss until mixed.
  • Now its ready to serve.

Ingredients

2 cucumber, thinly sliced crosswise on a mandolin

1 1/2 teaspoon honey

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

2 tablespoon red wine vinegar

1/2 small onion, thinly sliced

Preparation

In a medium bowl, toss the cucumber slices with the honey and salt and let stand for 5 minutes. Stir in the vinegar and onion then serve.
